He obtains his D3, Armadillomon and the Digi-Egg of Knowledge in the first week of school in 3rd grade. Later, Cody begins to fear that he is letting the team down, but his grandfather convinces him that all he has to do is try his hardest; if he does this, he won't letting anyone down. When Cody and the others are later trapped in an offshore oil platform by a Dark-Spiraled MegaSeadramon, Cody has to overcome his fear of water and use a submersible to get help from Joe. With some convincing from Joe, Cody managed to activate the newly-uncovered Digi-Egg of Reliability, allowing Armadillomon to Armor Digivolve to Submarimon to help defeat MegaSeadramon. Even after Ken begins to undo the damage he has done, Cody still cannot forgive him, which put the entire team at risk when BlackWarGreymon appeared. After Paildramon and Silphymon debuted, Cody sees that he and T.K. would have to have their Digimon DNA Digivolve. T.K. had been acting oddly violent and angry in terms of BlackWarGreymon; Cody understands the reasons for this after speaking with Matt and decides to allow Ankylomon and Angemon to DNA Digivolve. By December, Cody finally forgives Ken, accepting Ken's invitation to his Christmas party. On Christmas Day, he, Joe and their Digimon go to Australia to help the DigiDestined of the Pacific round up the wild Digimon who appeared on Earth as a result of Arukenimon opening all the Digi-Ports. When he returns to Japan, Cody faces a harsh reality check the next night as MarineDevimon is about to destroy a hospital as he and T.K. help a disabled girl get to safety. Shakkoumon's only option was to destroy MarineDevimon, shocking and upsetting Cody, who must accept the result. Cody then encounters Yukio Oikawa and learns of their mutual connection to Hiroki Hida. In the Other World, Cody is subjected to MaloMyotismon's illusion. Cody's desire is to be with his father and show him the Digital World. Armadillomon explains how the effect is not real, causing Cody to realize that though he'd never get a chance to show his father the digital world, he still could show his mother. Thus, Flamedramon appeared to take him back to the other kids, who are also in the process of breaking free of their illusions. Cody uses the power of the dream dimension against MaloMyotismon, making his desire for justice come true, with Ankylomon, Submarimon, Digmon, and Shakkoumon appearing all at once. After MaloMyotismon is finally destroyed, Cody returns back into the dream dimension to help the fallen Oikawa, dragging him to the edge of the portal. However, Oikawa, close to death, uses the other world to fulfill a dream of his own. With that, Oikawa's body is deleted and the digital particles transform into a host of butterflies, which spread across the Digital World, restoring peace and beauty to it.

Armadillomon - Rookie Level
Armadillomon is a small armored armadillo- like Digimon with three-clawed limbs and a short tail. Armadillomon's easy going nature is a sharp contrast to his partner Cody's serious personality. He is about 2 feet tall. Armadillomon is one of the three Digimon of ancient times who were sealed away by the Digimon SovereignAzulongmon in case of a crisis. He was awakened when the Digimon Emperor began his conquest of the Digital World. Cody, on his first visit to the Digital World, lifted the Digi-Egg of Knowledge. This freed Armadillomon from his suspended animation. Attacks Diamond Shell: Armadillomon curls up into a ball and rams into the opponent. Scratch Beat: Rapidly slashes enemies using his claws.
Digmon - (Digi-egg of Knowledge)
Digmon, the "Drill of Power"and "Drill of Knowledge" is the form Armadillomon takes when he Armor Digivolves with the Digi-Egg of Knowledge. Armadillomon first Armor Digivolved to Digmon on the day of his revival, when the Digimon Emperor abducted Davis. Cody's desire to understand life's mysteries evoked the power of the Digi-Egg, allowing Armadillomon to Armor Digivolve to Digmon and destroy the Dark Ring on Drimogemon, a Digimon who was under the Emperor's control. Digmon was a valuable fighter during the Digimon Emperor's reign of terror, but when Ken renounced his evil persona, Digmon was no longer needed as Armadillomon was now able to Digivolve normally. Attacks: Gold Rush: Digmon fires his drills towards the opponent. Rock Crackin': Digmon rams his drills in the ground, causing a fissure.
Submarimon - (Dig-egg of Reliability)
Submarimon, the "Reliable Guardian of the Sea", is the form Armadillomon takes when he Armor Digivolves with the Digi-Egg of Reliability. Armadillomon first became Submarimon on the day the Digi-Egg of Reliability was found. The DigiDestined children had been trapped in an offshore oil platform by a MegaSeadramon who was under the control of the Digimon Emperor. Cody was able to invoke the power of the Digi-Egg of Reliability, allowing Armadillomon to Armor Digivolve to Submarimon. Submarimon destroyed the Dark Spiral on MegaSeadramon and freed the DigiDestined. Submarimon is one of the few digimon forms belonging to the Digimon who is well-equipped for combat in water. Submarimon's head also contains a cockpit that can fit a single human, meaning he can be used as underwater transport. Attacks: Oxygen Torpedo: Submarimon fires oxygen torpedoes from his front compartment. Submarine Attack: Submarimon fires energy beams of water at his opponent.
Ankylomon - Champion Level
Ankylomon is Armadillomon's champion form. Armadillomon first digivolved to Ankylomon to protect Cody from Thundermon, who the DigiDestined encountered when they were helping to rebuild the Digital World after all the damage done by the Digimon Emperor. Since then, Ankylomon has appeared more than Armadillomon's Armor forms. Later, during the DigiDestined's battle against BlackWarGreymon, Ankylomon was able to DNA Digivolve with Angemon (Patamon's champion form) to Shakkoumon, who was the first to actually inflict any real damage on the Mega-leveled BlackWarGreymon. Attacks: Tail Hammer: Ankylomon uses the spiked end of his tail as a hammer. Megaton Press: Ankylomon leaps into the air and slams his body onto his opponent.
Shakkoumon is an Ultimate Level Mutant digimon who is the DNA Digivolved form of Angemon and Ankylomon, combining the features and armor attributes of a Dino-type Digimon with the powers of an Angel type. Shakkoumon was first formed when the DigiDestined were about to battle BlackWarGreymon in an effort to protect the very last Destiny Stone. Both Cody Hida and T.K. knew they could not let the artificial Digimon destroy everyone, despite BlackWarGreymon's reasons. Their Digimon partners, Angemon and Ankylomon were able to DNA digivolve at that point, forming Shakkoumon, who teamed up with Paildramon and Silphymon to fight BlackWarGreymon. Attacks: Justice Beam: Shakkoumon shoots reddish-orange beams out of his eyes. Kachina Bombs: A hole around his waist opens up to launch exploding clay disks at enemies. Heaven's Ray: Shakkoumon absorbs data energy from nearby computers or other technology and uses it to fire a beam from his chest.
