Digimon Season 1-5

Taichi "Tai" Kamiya

Picture
The adventurous leader and protagonist of the group, Tai was always the first to jump into action, though it often threw him into the path of danger. Agumon was the first Digimon to digivolve into Champion form (Greymon). However, his "I never change my mind" ambition to get Agumon to digivolve into Ultimate form soon gets him into trouble. He first overstuffed Agumon with food. During their next battle, Tai deliberately walks into danger, knowing that Greymon would digivolve since he is in trouble. However, Greymon instead digivolves into SkullGreymon, his virus counterpart, and causes disaster, rampaging around and taking out Garurumon, Birdamon and Kabuterimon before regressing into an exhausted Koromon. As a result, both of them lose their confidence until Piximon arrives and helps them out. They realize that they need to stay strong and always come back after suffering defeat.

In the final battle with Etemon, Tai sees his crest of courage glowing and once again walks towards danger, where Datamon abducted Sora to clone her and user her power to destroy his captor. Greymon is right behind him. This time, Greymon succeeds seeing Tai's courage, he digivolves into MetalGreymon and destroys Etemon (but not for long), and he finds Sora. Tai then makes a promise to her that he won't let anything bad happen to her. However, Etemon's destruction results in the formation of a dimensional warp. Tai and MetalGreymon enter the warp, which causes them to go back to the Real World and enables Tai to go home. Tai is having a blast, sitting back and relaxing, but when the news comes on he recognizes several Digimon in the Real World. He receives a message from
Izzy, who warns him not to come back to the Digital World, but Tai knows that he must get back to fix the balance. When Tai sees OgremonKoromon digivolves into Agumon and a dimensional warp opens. Agumon and Tai get sucked through and once again reenter the Digital World. Upon his re-entry, Tai finds it in severe disarray. Time moves much quicker, and months have passed in the Digital World. The entire team has broken up, mainly to look for him, and are moving their separate ways. Tai first locates T.K. and later connects with Matt and Joe in a diner. Piece by piece, he gathers the group up together. By now, Myotismon has emerged as the next great threat, and he is in search of the eighth DigiDestined child. The DigiDestined pursue him to the Real World. Wizardmon finds the crest and the Digivice and unites Kari and Gatomon. Gatomon digivolves into Angewomon and defeats Myotismon, but he comes back as VenomMyotismon. The digidestined believe that the key to defeating VenomMyotismon is to have Angemon and Angewomon shoot Tai and Matt with arrows of hope and light. Both of them agree, and Gabumon and Agumonwarpdigivolve into MetalGarurumon and WarGreymon, both of whom defeat VenomMyotismon. The DigiDestined are shocked to see the Digital World appear in the sky. All eight of them open another warp and go back to the Digital World to restore the balance.

The
Dark Masters emerge as the major enemy, and it is revealed that they were the ones who warped and rebuilt the Digital World. During this portion, Matt and Tai develop serious rifts in their friendship, which culminates into a major battle involving their Mega level Digimon. Matt leaves the group for a short while to reevaluate his place in it. After defeating three of the four Dark Masters, Tai gets everybody together as one group to battle Piedmon, the last of the four. Showing true foresight, he refuses to allow any of the others digivolve in the battle against LadyDevimon, Piedmon's bodyguard, because he wants to save their strength for the ultimate battle. He also sends Sora and T.K. to round up Mimi, Joe, and Matt, all of whom left the group to find themselves. In the end, they triumph over Piedmon, but it takes the digivolution of Angemon into MagnaAngemon to do it. He leads the group against Apocalymon and once he is defeated, Tai and the others have to say goodbye to their Digimon friends.

Agumon's Digivolution

Botamon - Fresh Level

Picture
Botamon is Agumon's Fresh form, it is a small Digimon with black hair covering his body, yellow eyes, and two small bumps on the top of his head. His mouth is covered by his hair and is not visible unless it is opened.
Attack
Bubble Blow: Fires harmless pink bubbles from his mouth.

Koromon - Training Level

Picture
Koromon is Agumon's In-Training form. He is a pink, ball-shaped Digimon with floppy ears, bright-red eyes and sharp teeth. Agumon was in this form in when he first met his partner, Tai Kamiya. After his initial Digivolution to Agumon to help battle a wild Kuwagamon, the Rookie level became his preferred form. From then on, Agumon temporarily reverted to Koromon only when he ran out of energy in a higher level and could not sustain his Rookie form.
Attack
Bubble Blow: Fires slightly more harmful pink bubbles from his mouth than his previous state.

Agumon - Rookie Level

Picture
Agumon is the main Digimon in Digimon Adventure, the first Digimon anime series. Agumon's personality is extremely brave, relaxed, and funny. Being partnered to the leader of the eight DigiDestined featured in Adventure, Agumon is a decisive factor in many battles. He is always the first of the partner Digimon to Digivolve into a stronger form. Agumon is also one of only two partner Digimon to Digivolve to the Mega level, the highest and strongest form a Digimon can attain. (Matt's partner Gabumon is the other Digimon to reach Mega.)
Attack
Pepper Breathe: Fires slightly more harmful pink bubbles from his mouth than his previous state.

Greymon - Champion Level

Picture
Greymon is Agumon's Champion form. He is closely modeled after the classic flat-footed, upright depiction of a theropoddinosaur. He looks like between Tyrannosaurus rex or Ceratosaurus. He has well-muscled abdominals and forearms, orange skin with blue stripes, and a brown helmet that encases his head that has an antler-like horn on each side and a single horn on the nose. Greymon is approximately 15 to 20 feet tall.
Attack
Nova Blast: Fires a giant blast of fire from his mouth to incinerate his enemies.

SkullGreymon - Ulitmate Level (Dark Form)

Picture
SkullGreymon is an alternate Ultimate form of Greymon, but its power could be likened to that of a Mega Digimon. A missile lies on his back that is shaped like a shark. SkullGreymon is a destructive and uncontrollable Digimon that results when Greymon is induced to Digivolve incorrectly. In the episode, "The Arrival of Skullgreymon" Tai desperately wanted Greymon to Digivolve further when he gained his Crest of Courage, an object that would help Greymon obtain his next level. When the evil Etemon confined Tai and the other DigiDestined children in a colosseum, he forced Tai's Greymon to battle a wild Greymon. Tai purposefully threw himself in front of the evil Greymon to make his partner Digivolve. (The partner Digimon gained new levels primarily when their DigiDestined were put into mortal danger.) This caused Greymon to Dark Digivolve into SkullGreymon, who easily defeated the enemy Greymon. However, he attacked Birdramon (Biyomon's Champion form and the partner of Sora Takenouchi), Garurumon (Gabumon's Champion) and Kabuterimon (Tentomon's Champion) and fled the colosseum. Exhausted, he reverted to Koromon. This experience shows how the mental state of a DigiDestined can affect the way his/her partner will Digivolve. Each of the DigiDestined in Adventure were bestowed personality traits (in Tai's case, Courage) that they had to display to unlock their Digimon's Ultimate levels. Tai had been exhibiting a selfish kind of courage during Greymon's battle, which caused Greymon to Digivolve into the wrong Ultimate.
Attack

Dark Shot: Fires the fish missile on his back like the Rocket Launcher.

MetalGreymon - Ultimate Level (True Form)

Picture
MetalGreymon is Agumon's Ultimate form. Physically, he resembles a larger Greymon with metallic head armor, red hair, metal wings, a trident-like left arm, and twin missile launchers on his chest. He is about 20–30 feet tall. "Metal" is added to his name due to the cyborg-like portions of his body. Tai had displayed a sufficient amount of courage when he saved Sora from a Datamon that was holding her and Biyomon captive. Tai's Crest of Courage activated and Greymon Digivolved to MetalGreymon, who was sucked into adimensional warp with Tai that sent them to the Real World and destroyed Etemon. After he (as Agumon) and Tai returned to the Digital World, he made several more appearances to battle various enemies.
Attacks
Giga Blaster: Fires two fish-shaped missiles from his chest, similar to MetalGarurumon's Giga Missile.
Mega Claw: Shoots his metal claw off his arm, slashing or wrapping up enemies.

WarGreymon - Mega Level

Picture
WarGreymon is Agumon's Mega form, possessing the "war" prefix due to his offensive capabilities. He is a humanoid version of Greymon with metal armor (Chrome Digizoid) encasing his head, shoulders, abdominals and legs. He is capable of independent flight - the wing-like projections on his back form his Brave Shield that he removes and uses to block attacks. WarGreymon has two large clawed gauntlets called Dramon Destroyers permanently attached to each arm. However, they have been known to crack occasionally during an intense fight, and on one instance they even broke completely off (when fighting Diaboromon). He is an extremely powerful Mega Digimon. During the battle with VenomMyotismon, who had infiltrated the Real World and intended to take it over along with the Digital World. Tai and Matt (partner to Gabumon, MetalGarurumon's primary form) allowed themselves to be struck by arrows from Angewomon (the Ultimate form of GatomonKari Kamiya's partner) and Angemon (Patamon's Champion) in accordance with an ancient prophecy. Tai and Matt remained unharmed; the shot arrows gave Agumon and Gabumon the necessary energy to Warp Digivolve to Mega and destroy VenomMyotismon.
Attacks
Terra Force: Collects energy from his surroundings to form a large ball of energy which he then fires at his opponent. This is his signature attack.
Mega Claw: Slashes Digimon with his Dramon Destroyers.Great Tornado: Spins at the speed of a tornado and rips through the enemy.

Omnimon - Mega Level (DNA-Fusion)

Picture
Omnimon is the Digimon that results when WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon DNA Digivolve together to create a stronger Digimon. His body is entirely covered in white armor adorned with black, blue and yellow markings. His left arm ends in WarGreymon's head and his right arm with MetalGarurumon's, giving him two primary attacks (Transcendent Sword and Supreme Cannon). The cape he wears flows over the width of his body. WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon had tried unsuccessfully to defeat Diaboromon, a Digimon they followed into the Internet to prevent him from consuming all its data. When Tai and Matt were accidentally transported inside the Internet they gave their spiritual energy to their Digimon so that they could win - Omnimon formed and defeated Diaboromon.
Attacks
Transcendent Sword: Slashes with the Grey Sword which emerges from the WarGreymon head hand.
Supreme Cannon: Fires colossal energy balls at foes from a cannon the emerges from the MetalGarurumon head hand.
Omni Blaster: Charges fire energy from both of his hands. This is his most powerful attack.
