Digimon Season 1-5

Marcus Damon

Picture
Marcus Damon is the first lead character of any Digimon series that doesn't wear goggles. Marcus is also the first to hurt a digimon on a regular basis. Marcus is presented as a fourteen year-old student who loves to fight and, in a way, considers himself to be a ultimate fighter. He lives with his mother Sarah and younger sister Kristy. Marcus meets and fights Agumon in the first episode of the series. When the fight ends in a draw, Agumon agrees to become his partner. Soon afterwards he's recruited as a member of D.A.T.S. As Marcus's partner, Agumon idolizes him and refers to him as his "boss". Marcus is one of the few shown to fight Digimon by himself, though he still counts on Agumon's help to fight the stronger opponents. Even though others can evoke their DNA charges by themselves, Marcus must connect a punch on an enemy to do so, subsequently using it to digivolve Agumon.

Before leaving the Human World to confront
Merukimon, Marcus gained an alternate motive for going: to find his father Spencer who he believes to still be alive and bring him back home. However, the only clue he has about his whereabouts was given by Merukimon himself, who revealed to be a friend of Spencer and said he set off in search for Yggdrasil, the god of the Digital World in his effort to build a coexistence between humans and digimon. Marcus only learned anything else about Spencer when he and his friends reached ElDradimon and learned that the people there has a debt of gratitude with him for helping the city years ago. They swore to protect the city from Kurata's army, but in the end there was little they could do to prevent ElDradimon from being destroyed.

Another moment of despair occurred when Thomas, for personal reasons was forced to side with Kurata and he had to fight him. During the battle between
ShineGreymon and MirageGaogamon, Like Tai Kamiya and Takato Matsuki, Marcus's anger triggered the dark digisoul inside himself dark digivolving his partner to a corrupt and rampaging version of ShineGreymon Burst Mode called ShineGreymon Ruin Mode. After finally stopping him, he returned to a digi-egg state, but did not take long for Agumon to return to life and Marcus bring him properly to ShineGreymon Burst Mode this time to fight Belphemon. After Belphemon's defeat the DATS team face a threat even greater when King Drasil, the god of the Digital World, decides to wipe out the Human World to end the struggle between the worlds once and for all, with the help of the Royal Knights. Marcus confronts Yggdrasil himself, just to discover that he is in fact Spencer Daimon, his long lost father. After being rescused by Sleipmon, Marcus intends to go back to the Digital World to confront his father.

After meeting up with
Gotsumon again, Marcus and Agumon faced off against Craniummon once more, where the GeoGrey Sword actually broke. With help from the others, they were permitted to see King Drasil. Upon reaching him, Marcus fought his father, but couldn't land a hit. However, after hearing his father's disembodied voice, and with help from the Digimon, Marcus was able to connect a hit. BantyoLeomon appeared to help Marcus, only to reveal that he was holding the real Spencer inside his body before grabbing Yggdrasil and telling Marcus to kill them both. With severe hesitation, Masaru ordered ShineGreymon to unleash the attack that took them out. Just before the attack hits, BantyoLeomon and Spencer both thank Marcus. With King Drasil seemingly defeated, and the World Tree destroyed, everything seems like it's over. However, King Drasil's true form appears and it took a hit from Marcus to convince it not to continue and rest to see the results of a humam/Digimon co-existence, reviving Spencer. In the series epilogue, Marcus decides to stay in the Digital World and help Agumon keep the riff raff in line and out of trouble.

Agumon's Digivolution

Koromon -  Level

Picture
Koromon is Agumon's In-Training form. He is a pink, ball-shaped Digimon with floppy ears, bright-red eyes and sharp teeth. He is approximately a foot tall. Agumon appears once in this form after being reborn from a Digi-Egg during the fight against Belphemon. Interestingly, in Digimon Adventure/Adventure02, Agumon would hatch from a digiegg as a Botamon, then later digivolve to Koromon. However, in this series, after Agumon was turned back into a diggegg, he was reborn as Koromon and quickly digivolved to Agumon in episode 37.
Attack:

Bubble Blow - Fires harmless pink bubbles from his mouth.

Agumon - Rookie Level

Picture
This Agumon has a slightly different design to the original Agumon in Digimon Adventure. He is taller, with more teeth, longer claws, wider forearms and red training bracers. Where Digimon Adventure's Agumon had well-defined nostrils and pectoral muscles, this Agumon has just two oval-shaped holes on the front of his muzzle and a flat chest. He is also much larger than previous Agumon, being almost as tall as a human adolescent.Agumon adores his partner Marcus, and considers himself to be "Marcus's employee". He even refers to Marcus as his "Boss". In the first episode of the he is referred to by the code-name of Raptor-1 by DATS. This Agumon in particular holds true to the given description of a common Agumon being somewhat aggressive. Being the main digimon character in the series, Agumon is always the first amongst the partner digimon to reach a new level. Unlike the other partner digimon in Digimon Data Squad, Agumon was easily accepted into Marcus' family when he was discovered, and is even given free reign of the Damon household.

Although Yoshi tells Marcus that Digimon can only eat special Digimon food, Agumon tends to eat practically anything, including Marcus's mother
Sarah Damon's fried eggs. Agumon's obsession with eating sometimes results in comical moments when Agumon attempts to eat Marcus's head. In the final episode, Marcus' DNA gives Agumon a new appearance. An outline of a dragon surrounds him, and he is given fiery bird-like wings and a dragon-like tail. In addition, Marcus can ride him, using straps attached to Agumon's wristbands to control his movements. Whether this is a super charge of Marcus' DNA or a new digivolution stage is called "Agumon Burst Mode".
Attacks:

Pepper Breath: Agumon shoots an orange fireball of varying strength from his mouth.
Spitfire Blast: This attack uses a more powerful stream of fire than Pepper Breath.

GeoGreymon - Champion Level

Picture
GeoGreymon is Agumon's Champion level form. GeoGreymon's appearance is similar to Greymon, but with red markings on the sides of his helmet and arms, a more well-defined chest, a longer tail, and different body markings. GeoGreymon first appears during Agumon and Marcus Damon's fight against a large Kokatorimon. This is when Marcus activated his DNA for the first time. Marcus was given his Data Link Digivice, and with it, he was able to help Agumon digivolve into GeoGreymon for the first time. GeoGreymon is often replaced by one of his digivolved forms so this form is used less and less in battle.
Attacks:

Mega Flame: A steady stream of flames is spewed forth from GeoGreymon's mouth.
Mega Burst: GeoGreymon forcefully ejects a powerful blast of energy from his mouth.
Horn Impulse: A powerful, high-speed smash with his head.
Flaming Tornado: A twin attack with Gaogamon. GeoGreymon fires his Mega Flame and Gaogamon fires his Spiral Blow techniques at just the right angle, causing them to fuse together. Although there is no official name for this technique, Marcus refers to it as a flaming tornado.

RiseGreymon - Ultimate Level

Picture
RizeGreymon is Agumon's Ultimate form. During digivolution to RiseGreymon, Marcus' digivice iC reads Perfect Evolution. RiseGreymon first appears during the fight against Garudamon. Marcus' own frustration over the uneasiness of his friends and family caused him to evoke the power GeoGreymon needed to digivolve into RiseGreymon. RiseGreymon is the Savers equivalent of Tai's MetalGreymon, featuring similar aspects. More than half of RiseGreymon's body is mechanical.
Attacks:

Trident Revolver: RizeGreymon fires three laser bullets from his revolver.
Rising Destroyer: RizeGreymon fires a barrage of beams from the six guns on his wings and the two on his chest.
Solid Strike: RizeGreymon charges at his enemies using his revolver to deliver a finishing blow.
Cracker Shot: RizeGreymon shoots a beam from his revolver.

ShineGreymon - Mega Level

Picture
ShineGreymon is Agumon's Mega form. ShineGreymon is first seen during the fight against Kurata's group of BioDigimon. Marcus' DNA super-powered RizeGreymon, causing a silhouette of ShineGreymon to appear around RizeGreymon. ShineGreymon was properly introduced in the next episode, along with MirageGaogamon and Rosemon after the Digimon Data Squad team learns how to harness this new power. ShineGreymon boasts armor made of Red Digizoid, the hardest and most powerful form of Digizoid. ShineGreymon can be compared to WarGreymon from Digimon Adventure01/02 in that both he and his previous forms mirror that of the Agumon line from the first series. WarGreymon is also a user of Digizoid armor, although he uses the weaker Chrome Digizoid.
Attacks:

Glorious Burst: Spreads his enormous wings and charges the light energy which he has concentrated to the utmost limit in his hands which tuns into a fireball either small or as huge as WarGreymon's Terra Force.
Shining Blast: Uses the light shining from his wings to mow down the enemy.
GeoGrey Sword: Summons the "GeoGrey Sword" from the underground to attack. It must be summoned by Marcus's DNA with the Digivice Burst.

ShineGreymon - Mega Level (Ruin Mode)

Picture
ShineGreymon Ruin Mode is said to be the corrupted form of his Burst Mode. The first time ShineGreymon changed mode, it was into Ruin Mode, a corrupted version of the true Burst Mode. This occurred during ShineGreymon's battle with MirageGaogamon, when Marcus' dark emotions caused ShineGreymon to go through Burst Digivolution. ShineGreymon Ruin Mode went out of control until it regressed back to a Digi-Egg, then later hatches into Agumon's In-Training form, Koromon.

This dark ruin digivolution could be linked to the occasion in Digimon Adventure when
Tai Kamiya's Greymon dark digivolved into SkullGreymon, as well as the occasion in Digimon Tamers when Takato Matsuki's WarGrowlmon dark digivolved into Megidramon. The biggest link was that all three dark digivolutions fed on the negative emotions of the Leaders of the Chosen Children.
Attacks:

Glorious Burst: Spreads his enormous wings and fires the light energy which he has concentrated to the utmost limit.
Shining Blast: Uses the light shining from his wings to mow down the enemy.
Torrid Weiss: Repeatedly fires scorching hot flame-bullets.

ShineGreymon - Mega Level (Burst Mode)

Picture
ShineGreymon Burst Mode is the Burst Digivolved form of ShineGreymon. Marcus manages to activate ShineGreymon's true Burst Mode in the battle against Belphemon, this time, ShineGreymon properly transforms into his Burst Mode and manages to defeat Belphemon. Marcus activates his DNA again during the DATS team's first encounter with the Royal Knights, allowing ShineGreymon to enter his Burst Mode again. However, this time, he is defeated by Gallantmon. He appeared later on facing the Royal Knight Craniummon in a one on one duel, but was defeated, until the rest of the Dats arrived together defeating the Knight. He last appeared in the final confrontation against Yggdrasil along with the other DATS Digimon. ShineGreymon obtains this mode in episode 38.
Attacks:

Corona Blaze Sword: Combines his flame shield and sword into a new, far more powerful sword.
Final Shining Burst: Uses every last bit of his power to create a great explosion.
Blazing Machingun: Repeatedly fires scorching hot flame-bullets.

Agumon - Rookie-Mega Level (Burst Mode)

Picture
This Rookie-Mega form is only seen against King Drasil, using which Agumon and Masaru Damon were able to destroy it in its true form. Like ShineGreymon Burst Mode, he glows a fiery red. He also grows a fiery bird-like tail and wings. He called Agumon Burst Mode due to its aura akin to ShineGreymon Burst Mode's.
